Tea Time at Satori Tea Company

I’ve always loved the thought of having a tea party or spending quality time with my mother or girlfriends over tea sandwiches and crumpets. I was recently introduced to this quaint jem that is hidden in Downtown San Jose’s San Pedro Square location, Satori Tea Company.

I must say that it’s not your average “tea room” that is covered from floor to ceiling with decorations of platters, tea cups, saucers, tea pots, and floral pieces. You only see the beautiful array of tea pots, and cups as you enter, but my favorite was the wall of tea.

The food was decadent with its combination of sweet and savory bites. I highly recommend that if you’re in the Downtown San Jose Area, this is a place you must try however, make sure to call and make reservations.  We walked in and luckily, there was plenty of availability.

This is what we ordered:

Tea for Two $59

Choice of 4 finger sandwiches

(We chose: English cucumber & cream cheese, Egg salad with green onion & dill, Herbed turkey, pesto, & pepper jack, Ham, English cheddar, & fig butter)

On a bed of delicate green salad

Pair of warm heritage cream scones

Served with fresh fruit, clotted cream, lemon curd, & preserves

Assortment of tea fancies for two

2 plentiful pots of tea

(We chose: English Breakfast and Jasmine Tea)
