I’d like to introduce you all to Costella Handbags, a colorful, unique, and unbelievably stylish collection of handbags designed and created by Luciana Ellington. Having photography as a background, Luciana certainly has an eye for all things beautiful in fashion, which helped create her line of handbags back in 2007.
A local of Los Angeles, Luciana continues to create these unique, hand-sewn pieces using materials such as butter smooth leather, faux furs, and hard materials which give each piece a long lasting wear.
I managed to get my hands on 3 pieces of the original Costella Handbag’s collection and I have to tell you, I absolutely love each of these.
BLACK & WHITE DOUBLE BIAS
The size of this handbag alone is one of my favorites. You can store as many or as little items you need, but what I love about the size is how you can easily place a sweater, a regular size camera or even a pair of foldable flats. The inside lining is a lime green / gold satin material and has a a couple of small pouches on the side to easily place your keys or cell phone. The strap is sturdy, wide and does not easily slip off the shoulders and can also be worn across the body as well.
PURPLE SUEDE CROCO PATTERN
The material of the suede handbag is absolutely smooth and feels like butter. The zipper pockets in the front make for an easy ‘find your keys or grab your cell phone’ but also includes pouches on the inside as well. I personally love the vibrant color of the handbag and is paired with a gorgeous gold strap. The size is very similar to the Black & White Double Bias bag, however, the lining comes in a bright pink satin material.
YELLOW BASKET WEAVE CLUTCH
I’ve always favored the large clutch and when I saw this particular one from the collection, I was obsessed. The color alone attracted me along with the basket weave pattern and the gold finish at the bottom corners. The size was big enough to carry almost all my necessities for the day or night. The opening of the clutch is actually being altered by Luciana as she found that a wider opening works best for this style.
I’m really excited to see the new collection of bags that are coming out very soon. For more information on Costella Handbags, please visit their website at www.costellahandbags.com
