I’ve always been a huge fan of Beauty Blender’s famous pink sponge and use it on a regular basis to achieve the flawless look of the product I used for the day (foundation, concealer, etc.) So, when I learned that they were coming out with a new way to minimize the shine with their very own blotting tool, I couldn’t wait to try it.
I have to admit, I’ve never really been much of a “blotter” kind of gal. I’ve always retouched any kind of shine I didn’t like with my compact powder.
Upon receiving the Blotterazzi, I noticed how compact the packaging was and how I knew it was going to travel easy in my many stages of purse changes, especially a small clutch. I was immediately skeptical on how this product was going to minimize shine and not remove any makeup that I had already applied to my face. As I went about my day and noticed I was becoming slightly shiny on my t-zone, used one of the sponges (comes with 2) and gently patted it on my face. I did notice that the blotterazzi reduced the shine a bit, rather than giving my face that freshly powdered look. I also noticed that I used blotterazzi at least 2 more times during the day, but I’m sure it all depends on just how oily your skin is.
If I were to rate the product from 1 – 10, 1 being do not get and 10 being a must have, I would have to rate it a 7. It’s definitely something I have kept in my purse and feel that I use it on a regular basis. And compared to the normal paper blotter products, the blotterazzi is reuseable.
