Alexander’s Steakhouse in Cupertino has announced that in July of this year the restaurant will be relocating to a new location, Main Street Cupertino Mall at 19379 Stevens Creek Boulevard.
Comments General Manager Radim Vlcek, “Changing locations and becoming a part of one of the area’s newest retail developments will provide Alexander’s Cupertino guests with enhanced accessibility to our restaurant and an engaging new space with a patio and great private dining options. We’re also delighted to be in close proximity to the new Apple campus.”
The 12,500+ square foot single-level venue will have 200 dining room seats with a Chef’s counter fronting the kitchen, 30 more spots in the bar/lounge area, and five private dining spaces including one with its own entrance and another that has patio access. There will also be a glass-enclosed walk-in dry-aging room, meat display and butcher counter, plus a substantial wine vault and an on-site Alexander’s Patisserie with outdoor seating and featuring housemade macarons, bonbons, pastries and elegant cakes. Valet parking will be offered and an adjacent five-story garage ensures the availability of free, convenient, off-street parking.
Unchanged by the restaurants relocation will be the signature menu highlighting the Alexander’s fine dining interpretation of the classic American steakhouse with hints of Japanese influence prepared by Executive Chef Jared Montarbo. Notable offerings include Chef Montarbo’s personal approach to classic dishes such as Hamachi Shots and Popcorn Crab, plus the restaurant’s global array of beef with the substantial selection of Wagyu for which Alexander’s is famous. Not to be missed is Chef’s distinctive omakase menu.
Montarbo, a Bay Area native and graduate of the California Culinary Academy, began his professional career at Wolfgang Puck’s famed restaurant Spago, in Palo Alto, California, which led to stints at such notable Puck eateries as Postrio, Brasserie Puck and Lupo in Las Vegas, Spago Beverly Hills and Spago in Beaver Creek, Colorado, where he was appointed Executive Chef. His love of premium quality, fresh, local ingredients led him to return to the Bay Area.
